FREE TUITION :)

**           are u threre?
##           hey!

yup.....right here waiting ;) have got my iPod on, reading & all i hear are song lyrics.....beautiful...those lyrics :)
what's up?

**             Owh, i need to know wether if its rite or wrong. its a sentence. Im hoping for the sunrise. Hope it wont rain tomorrow, metaphorically speaking. Is this right or wrong? The "metaphorically speaking" part. If i'd like to express this indirectly, which mean im hoping for sumthing good, hope it wont turn to sumthing bad. I know this sounds kinda weird to ask. But i really wud like to know. :((

##           metaphor is a figure of speech....it can be mixed, allegory etc. so in yr case....u want to use the sun as yr allegory maybe.....to mean "happy, good etc"

lets take songs for eg....u get phrases like "i wish u a sunshiny day"....so it's understood that u want only good for this person

u used "sunrise"....do u mean the dawn of a new day? or something else?

**             Yes, it's some sort of dawn of a new day. New phase of life :)

##           okay....then phrases like those found in scorpion's "winds of change" would be great :) try also nazareth's "sunshine"....get the "feel" of these lyrics......u could borrow them or concoct yr own

**             owh okay. so it can be use for metaphorically speaking?

##           yes. most song lyrics are good examples of metaphors eg. "izinkan ku mencuri bayangan wajah mu...izinkan ku mencuri khayalan dgn mu"....these are beautiful metaphors :)

##           "We can either make a song and dance about burnt toast and get even more stressed, or we can take a deep breath and put a fresh slice of bread in the toaster."

this is a metaphor. the author isn't talking about burnt toast per se but talking about making the best of a bad situation :)

**             hehe. Thanks a lot for ur help! i gtg now. Thx again ya! Really appriciate it! Mornyte buddy! ;)
